  • I would like to book a package deal that varies from the standard package. Is this possible?

    Please contact the Reservation department to discuss the many options available. Their phone number is: ++31 (0)546 542121.

  • I would like to order a Preston Palace gift voucher. How do I arrange this?

    You can order gift vouchers from the Reservations department on telephone number ++31 (0)546 542121 or send an email to reserveringen@prestonpalace.nl. Email your full details (including email address and telephone number) and state the required value of your gift voucher (a package deal or an amount in Euros).
    A gift voucher can be to the value of a specific amount or to the value of a day or evening package deal. The gift voucher remains valid for a year and recipients can make their own reservations. 
There is no postage charge for sending out gift vouchers. 

Get someone an original present, give them a Preston Palace package deal! Nice to give, fantastic to receive!

    Do you want to arrange a special treat for someone during your stay or is it time to treat yourself? Below are various options.



    Decorating service
    We decorate the hotel room of the birthday party or jubilaris for you! This decoration service consists of a pendulum above the bed, balloons with serpentines on the bed and a personalized congratulatory card (A3). The costs for this are € 15.00 per room and can be added to your online booking or requested with your telephone booking. With one press of a button we hang the garlands for you.

    Wellness. Treat yourself or someone else to a relaxing treatment in our wellness centre. You can book various massages, Rhassoul sessions and Hammam.

    Dine à la Carte.
    The buffets in the hotel restaurant and entertainment centre are included in your stay. However, if you want to enjoy a splendid à la carte diner we offer the following options:
    
Piri Piri Family restaurant. For a surcharge of € 7.50 per person you can enjoy a 3-course menu. All drinks are included. 

    Bistro De Heerlijkheid. For a surcharge of € 12.50 per person you can enjoy a 4-course menu. All drinks are included.

    

Romantic Parcel Surprise your lover! Book a romantic surprise in your hotel room. The Romantic Parcel contains a rose on the bed, lovely chocolates and champagne for 2! The costs are € 20.00 per romantic parcel/per room.

    

A Champagne Breakfast. For € 15.00 per person (minimum of 2 persons) we provide a generous champagne breakfast in your room. A lovely breakfast with nice bread rolls, sandwich toppings, eggs, coffee, tea, orange juice and, of course, a bottle of champagne. You can choose the time you would like to have this breakfast. Would you not like to wake up to such a feast?

    

A bottle of champagne or wine. At your request we place a bottle of champagne (75cl € 95.00 or 37.5 cl € 55.00), French sparkling wine (75cl € 9.00) or wine (75cl € 13.00) with glasses in your room.



    Order a cake. For € 2.50 per person you can order a cake with a message. You can enjoy this with your group in the coffee corner or in the restaurant.



    Order flowers of have flowers delivered. You can order flowers via your own Fleurop shop in the area or via www.fleurop.nl/DirectBestellen. You can have these delivered by quoting the reservation number and we will place the flowers in the room indicated by you.



    Extend your package deal: Your stay has come to an end and you can no longer use the facilities. We do offer the option to extend your hotel package deal at a reasonable price. 

    An extension until 14:00 hours costs € 17.50 per person, including lunch until 13:30 hours. 

    An extension until 18:00 hours costs € 37.50 per person, including lunch until 13:30 hours.
    In both cases you have to vacate your hotel room by 11:00 hours. You may store your luggage in an unsecured area. 

    By paying an extra charge of € 17.50 per person, you may use the facilities from 12:00 hours on the day of arrival. For that price we treat you to a lovely lunch.

  • May we come in fancy dress for a stag/hen party?

    No, we do not allow fancy dress parties at Preston Palace.

  • Is it possible to book accommodation only?

    Preston Palace adopts an all-inclusive formula. That is why it is not possible to book accommodation only.

  • Can I book a bowling lane or cinema ticket in advance?

    Bookings for the cinema can be made on site at the hotel reception. The bowling lanes and other game facilities cannot be booked, these are used on the basis of availability.

  • I would like to make a reservation online but have no valid credit card or Ideal option. Is paying cash on arrival an option?

    This depends on the period between the booking date and your arrival date. Please contact the Reservations department on ++31 (0) 546 542121.
    You must make a payment immediately at the end of the online reservation by using a valid credit card or pay via Ideal. Depending on the period until the arrival date, payments may be made in instalments.
    Perhaps you can consult your friends/acquaintances who do have a valid credit card or Ideal to complete your online reservation quickly and easily.

    Reservations costs for a booking are €10.00 per booking.

  • If I check out at 11:00 hours, can I still use all the facilities for the rest of the day?

    Your package deal ends at 11:00 hours. You may no longer use the facilities after this time. We do offer the option to extend your hotel package deal at a reasonable price.

    An extension until 14:00 hours costs € 17.50 per person, including lunch until 13:30 hours.
    An extension until 18:00 hours costs €37.50 per person, including lunch until 13:30 hours.
    You have to vacate your hotel room by 11:00 hours. You may store your luggage in an unsecured area.

  • I can check into my hotel room from 15:00 hours. Can I use the facilities before that?

    Your package deal starts at 15:00 hours. By paying an extra charge of € 17.50 per person, you may use the facilities from 12:00 hours. For that price we treat you to a lovely lunch. The hotel room is available from 15.00 hours.

  • Do the buffets cater for people with allergies, special diets or religious requirements?

    The buffets in the hotel restaurant and entertainment centre have been carefully put together. We know our ingredients and the preparation of the dishes very well, but we cannot give you 100% guarantee whether or not these contain allergens.
    It is therefore advised that at the time of your booking you inform our Reservations department of any dietary requirements (such as gluten free, yeast free, lactose free or vegetarian) and during your stay talk to the chef on duty. Our chefs will work on your special request straight away and prepare a tasty meal for you.
    Chef's tip:
    Book an à la carte dinner at Bistro De Heerlijkheid or the Piri Piri Family Restaurant (small surcharge p.p. for personal service and consideration for allergies, diet or religious requirements).

  • Is there any public transport from Almelo station to Preston Palace?

    From Almelo central station you take the bus to Preston Palace. You take bus route 51 towards Hengelo. You get off at Violierstraat. From there it is about a five minute walk to Preston Palace. Or you could take a (train) taxi available at the front of the station building.

  • Can you hire bicycles?

    During your stay you can hire a bicycle. Information about prices of bicycle hire is available from our Tourist Information desk and at the hotel reception.

  • What is Preston Palace's smoking policy?

    Preston Palace is completely smoke-free. Smoking is only allowed on the outdoor terraces and indoor locations allocated for that purpose. The hotel restaurant and the terrace at The Loc '6313' also have a smoke-free section. Vapor smokers (or similar alternative smoking devices) are not allowed at Preston Palace, apart from in allocated smoking areas.

  • What time does the entertainment centre close?

    Last drinks round is at 00.45 hours. The entertainment centre at Preston Palace closes at 01:00 hours. If you decide to use the entertainment facilities in the region after this time, you will be welcome again at Preston Palace from 08:00 hrs. This is to ensure that our other hotel guests are not disturbed.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Pets are not allowed at Preston Palace. With the exception of assistance dogs. These are allowed in our hotel and entertainment centre, with the exception of the swim and sauna paradise (for hygiene reasons).

  • Is there any extra entertainment for children?

    The children's indoor play area is open daily, suitable for children aged 7 or younger. Children can enjoy themselves on the bouncy cushion and climbing frames. At set times chips are provided. There is also an indoor fairground that is open every evening, offering facilities for children from the age of about 9 (depending on height). Children from the age of 14 are allowed in the indoor fairground without supervision (identification compulsory). There is a happy children's entertainment team especially for our younger guests! During the holiday package deals there is an extensive programme such as baking biscuits, children's disco or an exciting treasure hunt for the little ones. Who knows, you may meet Preston or Alice the Bear ... Every week we vary the programme to suit the number of guests. Ask on arrival for the programme and opening times.

  • Are there sufficient parking facilities and is this free?

    Preston Palace has sufficient free parking facilities on its own site.
    Parking is absolutely free! It is included in the all-in rates. Parking is at your own risk.

  • Can I use (wireless) internet?

    You can use wireless internet (Wi-Fi) for free at the following locations at Preston Palace:
    - Hotel rooms
    - Reception hall,
    - Koffiecorner,
    - De Deel,
    - Billiard hall, and
    - Meeting rooms.

    Choose the 'Preston Palace' network, Conditions will be shown automatically. If this is not the case, go to your internet browser. Once you have agreed to the user conditions, you get free access to the internet.

  • Can we give a preference for the location of our hotel room when we make our booking?

    We always try our utmost to group our guests together, but unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed. The rooms we offer have been substantially renovated over time with regard to style, lay-out and class of hotel room. Preston Palace has 323 hotel rooms in various classes and sizes spread out over no less than 10 wings. It is therefore impossible to meet all requirements our guests may have. Naturally, we do allocate rooms to guests who need a particular room for medical reasons (such as immobility, disability, wheelchair-user, etc.). There is, of course, no extra charge for this.

    Special Request:
    If you do not have a medical reason to request a specific location for your hotel room(s), but your request is of great importance to your group, then it is classed as an “special request”. Examples of special requests are: Location on a specific floor, at the end or beginning of a corridor, front or rear of the building, room with a balcony or close to the lift. We do reserve the right to refuse special requests if we are not able to guarantee that we can provide what is requested. Please note that there is an extra charge of € 25.00 per reservation for special requests. Special requests are available for up to three hotel rooms.

  • Do you provide safes?

    The Classic hotel room, Royal hotel room and Suites have safes. The Economy hotel rooms have no safes. There are safes available at the reception hall to store your valuables which you can hire at the hotel reception. Hire costs are € 3.50 per night and a deposit of € 25.00 is required.

  • Are there any towels in the hotel room?

    We provide a large and a small towel in your room every day for use in the shower, we do not provide face cloths.
    We recommend you bring your own bath towel for the swim and sauna paradise.

  • Is there a hair dryer in the room?

    The Classic and Royal hotel rooms and Suites have hair dryers. The Economy hotel rooms have no hair dryers. Hair dryers are available from the hotel reception against payment of a deposit of €20.00.

  • Do you have any larger rooms for four or six persons?

    In addition to double rooms, Preston Palace has rooms for three, four, five or six persons.

    The rooms for three or four persons have a double bed and a bunk bed. These rooms for four persons can be used for groups of three or four.

    The rooms for six persons consist of a room with a double bed and a separate room with two bunk beds. These rooms for six persons can be used for groups of five or six.

  • Are there any hotel rooms with balconies?

    Preston Palace has a few rooms with balconies. If you prefer such a room, you can make a special request when you book.

    Special Request:
    If you have request for a specific location for your hotel room(s), and your request is of great importance to your group, then it is classed as an “special request”. We do reserve the right to refuse special requests if we are not able to guarantee that we can provide what is requested.   • How do I know whether there are hotel rooms available?

    The 'Stay'/'Rooms' menu bar includes the options 'Promotions', 'Search & Book' and 'Holidays'.
    If you click on one of these options, a calendar with available dates will appear.
    In this calendar select the required arrival date, number of nights and number of persons.
    It will then show all available package deals and prices.
    Click on the price in the calendar and 'Your booking' will appear on the right hand side.
    Want to make a definite booking? Click on 'Book now' and follow the steps for a definite booking.

    It may be that your preference is not available on our website. We would recommend you telephone our Reservations department on tel: ++31 (0)546 542121 for more information. They can also help you with any other queries on availability of rooms.

  • Do I need to take extra towels for the swim paradise?

    We provide a large and a small towel in your hotel room every day for use in the shower.
    We recommend you bring your own bath towel for use in the subtropical swim paradise.

  • Does Preston Palace have any house rules?

    Yes, Preston Palace has a Code of Conduct and House Rules.

    The (house)rules are shown here and under the heading 'About us' on this website. Online bookings are not processed unless you have agreed to the house rules. Adopting and applying these house rules ensures that our valued guests, who we welcome every day for a wonderful Preston Palace package deal, can enjoy their stay.

  • Do you have any luxury hotel rooms?

    Preston Palace has various types of hotel rooms. You can choose basic, comfortable, spacious or pure luxury. Will it be the Economy, Classic or Royal hotel room or will you book a romantic suite?

    Economy hotel room
    The Economy rooms have a standard design and are equipped with box spring beds, shower, toilet, television, telephone and free Wi-Fi.

    Classic hotel room
    The Classic hotel rooms have a lovely ambiance, a modern design and provide everything for a comfortable stay. The room is equipped with box spring beds, cosy seating area, desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 32 inch flatscreen television, free Wi-Fi, and a PVC floor.

    Royal hotel room
    You will really enjoy our Royal hotel rooms. These hotel rooms have an attractive appearance and provide more space and comfort. The room is equipped with box spring beds, cosy seating area, desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 47 inch flatscreen television, minibar, free Wi-Fi, and a PVC floor.

    Suite
    This wonderful suite provides you with luxury, space and optimal comfort. You will, of course, have a kingsize bed, pure wellness products in the luxury bathroom with rain shower and bubble bath/whirlpool with jet streams, toilet, double wash basin and hair dryer. This spacious hotel room also has a desk, a cosy seating area, 55 inch flatscreen television, coffee machine, safe, a filled minibar, telephone and free Wi-Fi.

  • Does Preston Palace have a dress code?

    Yes, Preston Palace does have a dress code.

    We would appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately. Going out is a special experience and to emphasise this we would very much appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately. What is considered appropriate dress? To avoid misunderstandings we have the following rules: Football shirts, cut trousers, hats, sportswear, bath slippers and such are not allowed. We also do not appreciate gentlemen wearing so-called tank tops or sleeveless shirts, particularly in the hotel restaurant. It is not allowed to leave the swim paradise in your bathing costume or bath robe. There are plenty of changing rooms available in the swim paradise.

  • Why does the swim paradise not have a slide?

    Preston Palace aims at creating a beautiful and calming ambiance in the swim paradise. The swim paradise is not comparable to any standard leisure pool. A slide does not fit in with the special ambiance of the swim paradise.

  • Are there any rooms with air-conditioning?

    There are a limited number of our Classic hotel rooms and Suites on the fourth floor that have air-conditioning. If you prefer such a room, you can make a special request when you book. For the other hotel rooms you do have the option to hire a fan on arrival (please note: there are only a limited number of these available). You may bring your own fan with you.

  • Are there any promotions, offers or last-minute deals?

    All current promotions and last-minute deals are shown on the homepage under the heading 'Promotions' and 'Last-minute deals'. These offers are made at short-term notice and our staff are not able to say in advance whether there will be any offers for a particular period. We recommend you consult our website www.prestonpalace.eu regularly, it shows all available offers (if any). Keeping you up-to-date at all times!

  • Can I take out cancellation insurance?

    Up to a week after you made your reservation you can take out cancellation insurance. The costs of cancellation insurance are 4.85% of the total amount plus € 5.00 administration fees.

  • To what ages does child discount apply?

    Children aged 2 or younger pay €15.00 per child, including baby bed. Children aged 3 up to and including 10 receive a 50% discount on a package deal, provided they sleep in the same room as their parents. From the age of 11 full rates apply.

  • Marktplaats sometimes offers package deals, do these originate from Preston Palace?

    No, Preston Palace does not offer any package deals or vouchers via Marktplaats or similar websites. We have been made aware that occasionally people have been sold fictitious package deals. Unfortunately, Preston Palace is not able to do anything about this. This is why we would always advise you to book direct with Preston Palace, so as not to expose yourself to any risks.

  • What is the minimum age for a stay in Preston Palace?

    The minimum age for a stay in Preston Palace is 18. The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age. The guests in his/her party can be under age.

  • Can I recharge my electric car at Preston Palace?

    Yes, you can!
    Preston Palace has two Ecotaps with each two charging points for electric cars. In future it is not only you who is recharging your batteries during a wonderful all-inclusive stay, your electric car will get the same treatment.

    Free transport
    In the coming period the use of Ecotaps will be free. Very attractive, Preston Palace is paying your travel costs!

    Activation card
    How does it work? At the hotel reception desk you request your activation card. This is available against payment of a deposit of € 20.00. And now you are ready to charge your car. That's how easy it is! The charging time depends on, for example, the type of car and of course how low your battery is, but a completely empty battery can take between 2 and 3 hours to recharge.

    Optimum service
    By always being receptive to your wishes and needs, Preston Palace is constantly working on providing you with surprising hospitality: More than you expect!

    The Ecotap lets Preston Palace provide optimum service to its guests. This 'green facility' also makes Preston Palace a front-runner in the Dutch hotel sector.

  • Does Preston Palace serve top brands in the all-inclusive package deal?

    Absolutely, quality is paramount at Preston Palace. We only use top brands to provide you with the best quality!

    In addition to daily deliveries of fresh produce from bakers, greengrocers and butchers, our extensive selection of top brands includes: Grolsch, Lipton Ice Tea, Pepsi Cola, Sisi, 7-Up, Tonic (Royal Club), Sourcy, Rivella, Mora, Welten snacks, Van Lieshout snacks, De Bourgondiër, Bailey's, Johnnie Walker, Oetker, Koopmans, Chocomel, Fristi, Optimel, Melkunie, Heinz, Honig, De Ruÿter, Wijko, Liqor43, Bols, Hoppe, Passoa, Coebergh Bessen, Jägermeister, Famous Grouse, Jim Beam, Pisang Ambon, Maggi, Chef, Nestlé, Knorr, Unox, Carte D'Or, Conimex, Becel, Blue Band, Ola, etc., etc.

  • Are there any special rules for the hotel restaurant?

    Our (house) rules naturally also apply to our hotel restaurant.

    For the purpose of clarifying or supplementing the existing house rules, we would really appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately for the hotel restaurant. For example, please do not wear any sportswear. We would also really appreciate it if guests do not use more from the buffets than they actually want to consume.

    Perhaps unnecessarily, we emphasise that safety is often at the heart of our house(rules). For example, you are not allowed to join tables together. This causes an obstruction and could disturb other guests and could possibly even pose a risk in case of calamities.

    If something is not clear, or you have specific requirements, please do not hesitate to ask our staff for assistance. They are happy to tell you what is possible.

  • Is it possible to leave the site as a swim guest during a swimming bath visit?

    No, partly for the prevention of fraud, it is not possible to leave the site and then re-enter, without paying.

  • Are weekend package deals different from midweek package deals?

    A stay in Preston Palace is always all-inclusive and excellently taken care of. There is, however, a difference between deals in the weekend (Friday/Saturday) and midweek (Sunday to Thursday).
    We serve an extensive breakfast/lunch buffet and a dinner buffet in our hotel restaurant, the Koffiecorner is open for coffee and cake, there are various game facilities, the Central Bar is open from 10:00 hours , the indoor fairground is open daily from 19.00 hours and the swim paradise is open daily from 09:00 - 22:00 hours. Every evening we provide entertainment and in the course of the evening we open a number of bars in the bar street.

    Our entertainment and buffets in the weekends are even more extensive than those in midweek. That is why weekend rates are usually higher. On Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons there are various additional buffets provided in the entertainment centre, we provide extra entertainment and we often welcome famous artists.

  • Does Preston Palace have any discount for senior citizens?

    If you are 55 or over, you are eligible for a discount on your hotel package deal during certain midweeks. This is with the exception of holiday periods, public holidays, weekends, last-minute deals and promotions. At these times, Preston Palace adopts a transparent and attractive price for everyone, irrespective of age! This is how every guest can get the best price at any time.

  • Are selfie sticks allowed at Preston Palace?

    No. In line with, for example, many festivals, amusement parks, museums, concerts and events, Preston Palace does not allow carrying or using selfie sticks. Careless use of such metal sticks can be a nuisance to other guests and may have a negative effect on people's enjoyment. For example, in the indoor fairground it could pose a severe risk of such a selfie stick getting stuck in the mechanical parts of the attractions. Selfie sticks are therefore not allowed at Preston Palace.

  • Why can I not see my booking in my Preston Palace account?

    If you have an account, you can log in to your account whilst you are making the booking (at the address details). That way your booking is linked to your account.

    If you make the booking first and create an account afterwards, your booking will not be linked to this account.

    Telephone bookings are not linked to your account either. Only bookings made on the website while you are logged in will be linked to your account.
    Please note: first log in or create an account, then book. This way you can be sure that you will see your booking on your account.

  • Always the lowest price guarantee at Preston Palace. What does this mean?

    This means that at Preston Palace you always pay the lowest price, compared to any other booking sites that sometimes offer a number of Preston Palace package deals. External parties will always charge commission which you, the consumer, will pay. It is therefore advisable to always book directly with Preston Palace. Our prices may fluctuate, depending on the level of demand and what is available at that time.

  • Are there any smoke-free terraces in Preston Palace?

    The terrace outside the hotel restaurant and the terrace at The Loc '6313' have smoke-free sections. These sections are indicated by a 'roken verboden' ('no smoking') sign on the table.

  • Is Preston Palace wheelchair-friendly?

    Preston Palace is completely wheelchair-friendly, the entire building is barrier-free. There are disabled toilets in both the entertainment centre and in the swim paradise.
    Preston Palace has 4 disabled hotel rooms (Economy class). These rooms have wide doors (95 cm) to give easy access to wheelchairs. The shower is spacious without barriers or shower tray. The toilet is fitted with support bars. A support rail is fitted along the shower wall and there is a plastic chair. The sink is lowered so that you can reach it from your wheelchair and you can tilt the mirror. Lights are switched on and off automatically. Beds are 60 cm high. On request, we can provide a toilet raiser and bars in the bathroom. You have to make your own arrangements if you need any other aids or nursing. At the booking you must indicate that you wish to use a disabled room. A disabled room can only be booked by telephone.

    The hotel restaurant has wide passageways. It will be very easy for you to move around the entire restaurant. The restaurant also has a disabled toilet. If you prefer to have a table close to the buffet, please ask at reception to have a reserved sign placed on one of the tables.

  • Do you have any disabled hotel rooms?

    Preston Palace has 7 disabled hotel rooms (Economy class). These rooms have wide doors (95 cm) to give easy access to wheelchairs. The shower is spacious without barriers or shower tray. The toilet is fitted with support bars. A support rail is fitted along the shower wall and there is a plastic chair. The sink is lowered so that you can reach it from your wheelchair and you can tilt the mirror. Lights are switched on and off automatically. Beds are 60 cm high. You can order any additional aids via 'thuiszorg' (home care). At the booking you must indicate that you wish to use a disabled room. A disabled room can only be booked by telephone.

  • Does Preston Palace have a new restaurant?

    That is correct! The former hotel restaurant at Preston Palace has been completely extended and renovated. The end result is a refreshing, modern and spacious restaurant that is set in an ultimate living room ambiance. It is equipped with the latest technologies for buffets, show cooking, refreshing salad bars, a cool children's buffet, a sparkling bar, and has a modern interior design with handcrafted wall decorations, cosy seating areas, benches and cosy corners. This makes the extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet even more enjoyable for our hotel guests.

  • Are there any taxis available for transport to and from Preston Palace?

    Preston Palace collaborates with Taxi Central Almelo. They provide taxis and minibus transport.
    If required, they can collect you from the station, take you home or arrange group transport.
