General conditions of cancellation

What are the consequences if your agreement with Preston Palace cannot go ahead? That depends, among other things, on when you cancel, the type of booking, the size of your party and the portion you cancel.   • The compensation(s) to be paid by the Guest, in connection with the cancellation of the Catering Services booked by the Guest shall be determined on the basis of the Reservation Value (RW).
  • In the event of a no-show the Guest shall in all cases be obliged to pay the Reservation Value.
  • If one or more agreed Catering Services are cancelled, which together amount to 50% or more of the capacity of the Catering Establishment, the periods in the following clauses shall be increased by 4 months.

Compensation for cancellations

Cancellation of hotel accommodation/logies (group)

  • More than 3 months before the starting date, the guest must pay € 11,50
  • More than 2 months before the starting date, the guest must pay 15% of the IN price.
  • More than 1 month before the starting date, the guest must pay 35% of the GDR.
  • More than 14 days before the starting date, 60% of the RW is payable by the guest
  • More than 7 days before the start date, the guest owes 85% of the RA
  • Less than 7 days before the starting date, the guest owes 100% of the RW

Cancellation of hotel accommodation/lodging (individual)

  • More than 1 month before the commencement date, the guest must pay € 11.50
  • More than 14 days before the starting date, 15% of the RW is payable by the guest
  • More than 7 days before the starting date, the guest must pay 35% of the GDR.
  • More than 3 days before the starting date, 60% of the RW is payable by the guest
  • More than 24 hours before the starting date, the guest owes 85% of the RA
  • Less than 24 hours before the starting date, the guest owes 100% of the RA

On cancellation of restaurant/table reservations (menu)*

  • More than 14 days before the starting date, no payment is due
  • More than 7 days before the starting time, the guest owes 25% of the RW
  • More than 3 days before the starting time, 50% of the RW is payable by the guest
  • Less than 3 days before the starting time, the guest owes 75% of the RA

In the event of cancellation of restaurant/table reservations (no menu)*

  • Less than 48 hours before the starting time, 50% of the RW is payable by the guest

* Groups = 10 persons or more

Individuals
If a menu has been agreed, 50% of the reservation value will be due for cancellation less than 4 times 48 hours before the time of entry. If no menu has been agreed, no compensation will be due.

In case of cancellation room rental

  • More than 3 months before the commencing date, no compensation will be owed by the guest
  • More than 2 months before the commencing date, the guest shall owe 60% of the reservation value
  • More than 1 month before the commencing date, 85% of the RW is payable by the guest
  • Less than 1 month before the starting date, the guest owes 100% of the RW

These terms and conditions apply to all reservations up to 100 (one hundred) (hotel) guests. Different conditions apply to reservations with a higher number of guest nights. Please enquire about this when making your booking.

When cancelling a wellness treatment or package
For the cancellation of only a sauna visit, no fee will be charged. If you have booked a treatment or package and cancel less than 24 hours before the reserved arrival time, 100% of the reservation value will be charged.

Cancellation due to governmental restrictions

If Preston Palace is unable to receive guests or offer what you have booked due to mandatory government measures (or safety region), we offer you two options:

Move your booking to another date
If your new stay is more expensive than the stay already booked, we will charge you the additional costs. If your new stay is more economical, we will not provide a refund.

A hotel voucher, valid for at least one year, equal to the amount you paid
The voucher can be exchanged at a later date for a new stay at Preston Palace to be booked by you.
