What is the GastenApp all about?

In the GastenApp you can find all activities, opening times and important information about your stay at Preston Palace. 

You can use it to reserve dinner at hotel-restaurant Ribbleton, San Remo, Silverado Bistro, Midtown or Pizza van Enzo. This is possible from one week before arrival. Will you go for the extensive buffet or do you choose à la carte? Reserve your dinner, adding the date, time and a number of people in the GastenApp. This is possible from a week before arrival. Dinner is the only activity that still needs a reservation.

When can I reserve dinner?

Dinner planning is possible from one week before arrival. You can also take a look at the GastenApp before arrival and find all kinds of useful information regarding your all-inclusive stay. 

Are you having trouble or are you unable to book dinner via the GastenApp? Then notify the hotel reception and our colleagues will be happy to help you! 

Do you have to make reservations for the facilities?

You only need to book for dinner via the GastenApp. This is possible from one week before arrival. Breakfast, lunch and other facilities are open zones and do not need to be reserved.

How do I make reservations for activities?

You only need to book for dinner via the GastenApp. This is possible from one week before arrival. Breakfast, lunch and other facilities are open zones and do not need to be reserved.

  1. Go to www.prestonpalace.nl/gastenapp/login.
  2. Here you can log in with your reservation number and email address.
  3. You will arrive at the homepage. Here you can also make any outstanding payments if necessary.
  4. You can reserve your dinner under the ‘activities’ header. Click the restaurant you wish to book. Click reserve now and enter the desired time and number of guests, then click submit reservation.
  5. Under the ‘timeline’ header you can find all your reservations and cancel if necessary.

Tip: Create a shortcut on your phone, so you always have the GastenApp on hand!

Hotel

If I check out at 11:00 am, can I still use all the facilities all day?

Your hotel stay ends at 11 am on the day of departure and you will no longer be able to use the facilities. Would you like to? We offer the option to extend your hotel package deal after 11 am at a reasonable price.

An extension until 2 pm costs €22.50 per person, including lunch.
An extension until 7 pm costs €50,- per person, including lunch and dinner. 
Please note: When you extend your package, your hotel room will no longer be available after 11 am. You can store your luggage in an unsecured area.

I can check in for the hotel room from 15:00. Can I use the facilities earlier?

A hotel package starts at 15:00. For an additional fee of € 22.50 per person, you can use the facilities from 12:00. For that price we also treat you to a delicious lunch. The hotel room is available from 15:00.

A hotel package is all-inclusive, but what is all included in the price?

During a stay, the following is included in the price:

Accommodation of your choice (including free wireless internet). You will stay in a Classic or Royal room. You can also choose one of our luxurious Suites.

  • Food and beverages (both domestic and foreign) are included during your stay,
  • Game facilities, such as bowling, miniature golf, snooker and billiards,
  • Access to the indoor fun fair,
  • Access to the cinema,
  • Access to the subtropical swimming paradise with whirlpools and sun beds,
  • Game library for children up to 7 years,
  • Entertainment every evening,
  • Entertainment,
  • Parking.

A hotel package starts on the arrival day at 15:00 and ends on the departure day at 11:00.
For an additional fee you can arrive earlier (before 15:00) or stay longer (after 11:00).
During this earlier or longer stay you can use the facilities in our entertainment center (except for your hotel room).

Hotel room

Do you have any larger rooms for four or six persons?

In addition to double rooms, Preston Palace has rooms for three, four, five or six persons.

The rooms for three or four persons have a double bed and a bunk bed. These rooms for four persons can be used for groups of three or four.

The six-person room has a double bed and two bunk beds. These rooms for six persons can be used for groups of five or six.

Do you provide safes?

Safes are available in all hotel rooms. You can use these free of charge. 

Are there any towels in the hotel room?

Towels and bathrobes are provided in the luxury Suites. Towels only are provided in the Royal and Classic hotel rooms.

Do you want to rent an extra towel? Additional towels are available for €1.50 per towel per day. Bathrobes can be purchased on site at the hotel reception. You can purchase them for €40.00 each. Of course you can also bring your own bathrobe.

Is there a hair dryer in the room?

Hair dryers are available in all hotel rooms. 

Are there any rooms with air-conditioning?

We are actively working on the sustainability of our resort. All hotel rooms are now equipped with air conditioning.

Are there any rooms for disabled persons?

Preston Palace has eight disabled hotel rooms (Classic type). There are 2-person and 4-person disabled rooms. These rooms have wide doors (95 cm) to give easy access to wheelchairs. The shower is spacious and does not have a shower tray. The toilet is fitted with support bars. A support rail is fitted along the shower wall and there is a shower seat. The sink is lower so that you can reach it from your wheelchair and you can tilt the mirror. Lights are switched on and off automatically. The double beds are 60 cm high. You can order any additional aids via 'thuiszorg' (home care). While booking, please indicate that you wish to use a disabled room. A disabled room can only be booked by telephone. We have double (with box spring bed) and 4-person (with box spring beds and bunk bed) disabled rooms. The room you are assigned to depends on availability.

Preston Palace is completely wheelchair-friendly, the entire building is virtually barrier-free. There are disabled toilets in both the entertainment centre and the swimming paradise.

Does Preston Palace also have luxury hotel rooms?

Preston Palace has various types of hotel rooms. You can choose from comfortable, spacious and pure luxury. Will it be the Classic or the Royal room? Or perhaps the romantic Suite?

Classic hotel room
The Classic rooms have a lovely ambiance, modern design and provide everything for a comfortable stay. The room is equipped with box spring beds, airconditioning, cosy seating area, desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 32-inch flatscreen television, free Wi-Fi, and a PVC floor.

Classic hotel room with balcony
This Classic hotel room has a modern design with private balcony, allowing you to relax both inside and out. The room is equipped with box spring beds, airconditioning, a desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 32-inch flatscreen television, free Wi-Fi, PVC floor, and balcony.

Royal hotel room
Our Royal hotel rooms offer pure delight. These hotel rooms have an attractive appearance and provide more space and comfort. The room is equipped with box spring beds, airconditioning, cosy seating area, desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 47-inch flatscreen television, mini-bar, free Wi-Fi, and a PVC floor.

Royal hotel room with balcony
The Royal hotel rooms with balcony are extremely spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended to lovers of the good life! This room type is equipped with box spring beds, airconditioning, a cosy seating area, desk, safe, rain shower, toilet, hair dryer, 47-inch flatscreen television, an unstocked mini-bar, free Wi-Fi, PVC floor, and a balcony.

Suite
This wonderful Suite offers luxury, space and optimal comfort. You will, of course, have a kingsize bed, pure wellness products in the luxury bathroom with rain shower and bubble bath/whirlpool with jet streams, toilet, double wash basin and hair dryer. This spacious hotel room also has a desk, a cosy seating area, airconditioning, 55-inch flatscreen television, coffee machine, safe, a well-stocked mini-bar and free Wi-Fi.

Can we give a preference for the location of our hotel room when we make a booking?

We always try our utmost to group our guests together, but unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed. The rooms we offer have been substantially renovated over time with regard to style, lay-out and class of hotel room. Preston Palace has 318 hotel rooms in various classes and sizes spread out over no less than 10 wings. It is therefore unfortunately impossible to meet all requirements our guests may have. Naturally, we do allocate rooms to guests who need a particular room for medical reasons (such as immobility, disability, wheelchair-user, etc.). There is, of course, no extra charge for this.

Special request:
If you do not have a medical reason to request a specific location for your hotel room(s), but your request is of great importance to your group, then it is classed as a ‘special request’. Examples of a special request: location on a specific floor, at the end or beginning of a corridor, front or rear of the building or close to the lift. We do reserve the right to refuse special requests if we are not able to guarantee that we can provide what is requested. Please note that there is an additional charge per reservation for special requests.
Rooms next to each other: €6.95 per room.
Other requests: €25.00 per reservation. Special requests are available for up to three hotel rooms.

May I take food and drinks to my hotel room?

Yes you may, until 12 am!

Enjoying a drink and snacks after going out is now also possible in your room. 
Pick up your favourite snacks at the Snack Counter or Midtown Takeaway and enjoy a relaxed evening. Enjoy the good life! 

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe?

Yes, this is certainly possible. There is a charge of €2.50 per bathrobe for this. A deposit of €20.00 per bathrobe also applies.

You can choose from different hotel room types at all-inclusive Family Resort Preston Palace. Will it be the Classic or the Royal room? Or perhaps the romantic Suite? All hotel rooms are attractively furnished. There are rooms with one, two, three, four, five and even six beds!

Facilities

What facilities are there for children?

For our littlest guests, Preston Palace is where their dreams come true.

Our cheerful entertainment team is there for the whole family with fun activities such as puzzles, crafts, a swinging children's disco and an exciting bingo. There is a weekly entertainment programme for kids. You can find information about this in the Guest App or ask at the hotel reception or the indoor play area.

Play, jump, slide, climb and have fun at the indoor play area. Here you’ll find a super bouncy cushion, a spacious climbing frame area, great floor and wall games, spring riders, a blocks house, a children's entertainment / craft area and an outdoor area. Lots of fun for children up to the age of 7!

Don’t miss out on game facilities such as bowling and miniature golf during your stay. Get a strike in an old mine shaft and watch the bowling balls return to you in a mine cart; that's bowling at Preston Palace for you! Would you rather play miniature golf? The miniature golf course is designed to reflect the surrounding countryside of Twente and the club has a traditional Dutch clog on the end of it! What an experience!

Make a splash in the subtropical swimming paradise, swim under the starry sky, dance in the rain and imagine yourself in the tropical jungle. Children up to the age of 10 may only enter the subtropical swimming paradise under the supervision of an adult (in swimwear!) and armbands are mandatory for children who do not yet have a swimming certificate.

Our littlest guests can also have great fun in the spectacular indoor fairground; from the Tea Cup ride to the Jumping Star. Persons under the age of 11 are only admitted with adult supervision (18+).

Or catch a movie together in our home cinema. During the day there is a daily varied movie programme with the best family films, especially for children.

Can we come and swim at Preston Palace for the day?

Preston Palace is open once again for day and/or evening visits to the Riviera subtropical swimming paradise from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm!

Does the subtropical swimming paradise have a slide?

Yes, definitely! On Monday, June 20, 2022, Preston Palace's new water attraction named Monkey Rush officially opened. 

Do I need to take extra towels for the subtropical swimming paradise?

It is recommended that you bring an extra towel/bath sheet to visit the swimming paradise.

What time does Preston Palace close?

Last drinks round is at 00.45 am. Preston Palace closes at 1 am. If you decide to use the entertainment facilities in the region after this time, you will be welcome again at Preston Palace from 8 am. This is to ensure that our other hotel guests are not disturbed.

Can I book a bowling lane or cinema ticket in advance?

The bowling lanes and other game facilities do not need to be booked, they are used based on availability.

Is it possible to book accommodation only?

Preston Palace applies an all-inclusive formula. That is why it is not possible to book accommodation only.

I would like to make a reservation online but have no valid credit card or Ideal option. Is paying cash on arrival an option?

Payment on arrival is not possible. We always ask for an advance payment.

You must always pay directly at the end of an online reservation with a valid credit card or Ideal. Depending on the period until the arrival date, payment can also be made in installments for a hotel stay.

You can consult friends/acquaintances who do have a valid credit card or Ideal to complete your online reservation quickly and easily.

How do I know if there are any hotel rooms available?

You can find a price list on our homepage and on the pages under ‘hotel’. 
Select your preferred arrival date, departure date and the number of persons.
Once your dates are set, the specific price for your preferred date, as well as a few days before and after your preferred date, is shown.
Are you sure you want to make this reservation? Click ‘Book’ to go through the booking process, where you will also find out about the availability of the room types and to confirm your stay.

It may be that your preference is not available on our website. We would recommend you telephone our Reservations department on tel: +31 (0)546 542121 for more information. Our Reservations Department can also answer any other questions you may have regarding room availability.

Can I take out cancellation insurance?

You can take out cancellation insurance up to a week after you made your booking. The costs of cancellation insurance are 4.85% of the total amount plus €5.00 administration fees.

What is the minimum age for a stay in Preston Palace?

The minimum age for a stay in Preston Palace is 18. The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age. The guests in his/her party can be under age.

Is it possible to reserve a wheelchair?

This is possible when you are our guest. Very convenient!

We have a limited number of wheelchairs available and therefore recommend that you reserve one at the time of booking, or in any case prior to your arrival. The charge for a wheelchair is €5 per day, plus a deposit of €50. To reserve, please contact our Reservations Department on +31(0)546 542121.

I paid by credit card, when will the amount be debited from my account?

When paying for your booking, you have the choice between VISA and Mastercard. If you have chosen to pay by credit card, this payment will be verified. We will then be informed that the booking has been paid for. The amount will then be debited and charged immediately.

Are there any promotions, offers or last-minute deals?

All current promotions and last-minute deals are shown on the homepage and on the ‘Promotions’ and ‘Last-minute deals’ pages. These offers are made at short-term notice and our staff are not able to say in advance whether there will be any offers for a particular period.

To what ages does child discount apply?

Child discount hotel
We charge €17.50 per night for children aged 0 to 2. This includes a baby kit and baby cot in the hotel room. The baby kit consists of a changing mat, nappy pail and a fun surprise for the baby.

Children from 3-17 years: 50% discount on the adult rate on all hotel stays!

Children's discount entertainment centre
For day and evening packages and for the swimming pool and indoor fun fair, children up to 2 years of age are free. Children aged 3 to 17 receive a 50% discount on day and evening packages. 

Does Preston Palace have any discounts for senior citizens?

Are you 55 years old or older? Then you are eligible for a discount on your hotel package deal during certain midweeks. This is with the exception of holiday periods, public holidays, weekends, last-minute deals and promotions. At these times, Preston Palace adopts a transparent and attractive price for everyone, irrespective of age! This is how every guest can get the best price at any time.

That at Preston Palace you always pay the lowest price, compared to any other booking sites that sometimes offer a number of Preston Palace package deals. This is our first holiday as a family. How much is charged for the baby?

Preston Palace, it’s never too early to start! The first time on holiday with your child is an exciting, new experience. But rest assured: Preston Palace is also perfect for a young family holiday.

House rules / conditions

What is Preston Palace's smoking policy?

In light of the decision of the Supreme Court dated 27 September, 2019, Preston Palace is required to adjust its smoking policy. Smoking is only allowed outside in the designated spaces and on various outdoor terraces. 

Preston Palace is completely smoke-free. Smoking is only allowed on the outdoor terraces in the locations allocated for that purpose. The use of e-cigarettes (or any such cigarette substitute) within Preston Palace is not permitted, except at the allocated (outdoor) smoking locations. Smoking in hotel rooms will result in a €100.00 fine. If the fire alarm is disabled or triggered as a result of smoking in a hotel room, the guest will automatically be asked to leave.

Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed at Preston Palace. except for assistance dogs. Assistance dogs must be legally allowed (since 14 July 2016) in all public areas. This is also the case at Preston Palace, with the exception of the pool in the swimming paradise.

Does Preston Palace have a dress code?

Yes, Preston Palace does have a dress code. We would appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately.

Respect for yourself and your fellow guests
Eating out is still a special experience during an all-inclusive stay at our Family Resort. To emphasise this we would very much appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately. We and your fellow guests appreciate it if you could also comply with the applicable dress code. This way you respect this wonderful night-life experience, both for yourself and for those around you.

Different strokes for different folks
When it comes to clothing and food, everyone has their own taste and style! That is why we offer an extensive range of restaurants with various degrees of luxury. But which clothing is appropriate where, and which is not appropriate at all? Let’s explain.

What is allowed? What is inappropriate?
Football shirts are not allowed in the Ribbleton, San Remo, Black Rock and Midtown restaurants. Tank tops/sleeveless shirts for men are not preferable, but are allowed in exceptional circumstances. Football shirts, headgear, sportswear, bath slippers and shorts are not allowed in luxury à la carte restaurant Silverado Bistro.

Swimwear
You may go from your hotel room to the subtropical swimming paradise (and back) wearing swimwear covered by your (own) bathrobe or a large towel wrapped around your (upper) body.

No themed costume parties
As far as the entire resort (both hotel and entertainment centre) is concerned, football shirts and costumes are not allowed. Group-specific clothing is allowed, provided that it is not themed clothing. 

Are there any special rules for the hotel-restaurant?

Our rules and house rules naturally also apply to our hotel-restaurant.

For the purpose of clarifying or supplementing the existing house rules, we would appreciate it if our guests could dress appropriately for the hotel-restaurant. For example, please do not wear any sportswear. We would also really appreciate it if guests do not take or order more than they actually want to consume.

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that safety is often at the heart of our rules and house rules. For example, you are not allowed to join tables together. This causes an obstruction, could disturb other guests and could possibly even pose a risk in case of emergencies.

If something is not clear, or you have specific requirements, please do not hesitate to ask our staff for assistance. They are happy to tell you what is possible.

Are selfie sticks allowed at Preston Palace?

No. In line with, for example, many festivals, amusement parks, museums, concerts and events, Preston Palace does not allow carrying or using selfie sticks. Careless use of such metal sticks can be a nuisance to other guests and may have a negative effect on people's enjoyment. For example, in the indoor fairground it could pose a severe risk of such a selfie stick getting stuck in the mechanical parts of the attractions. Selfie sticks are therefore not allowed at Preston Palace.

Does Preston Palace have any house rules?

Yes, Preston Palace has a code of conduct and house rules.

The (house)rules are shown here and under the ‘About us’ header on this website. Online bookings are not processed unless you have agreed to the house rules. Adopting and applying these house rules ensures that our valued guests, who we welcome every day for a wonderful Preston Palace package deal, can enjoy their stay.

Are hoverboards/segways/personal transporters allowed at Preston Palace?

No. Hoverboards, segways and/or other personal transporters are not allowed at Preston Palace. Such vehicles can be dangerous or a nuisance to other guests when riding at high speeds or when they are used carelessly, and may have a negative effect on people’s enjoyment.

Can you go to Preston Palace without an overnight stay?

All-in Family Resort Preston Palace is open for hotel, day and evening guests. It is therefore possible to come to Preston Palace for a day or evening (without hotel stay).

Can you hire bicycles and is there a bicycle storage area?

It is not possible to rent a bike at Preston Palace.

There is a covered (unguarded) bicycle shed on the property. You can park your bicycle here during your stay. The storage facility also has several charging stations for E-bikes.

Does Preston Palace offer additional entertainment for children?

The children's indoor play area is open daily and is suitable for children aged 7 or younger. Children aged 7 and under can enjoy themselves on giant jungle gyms and jumping cushions. French fries and ‘poffertjes’ (tiny pancakes) are served on set times.

There is also an indoor fairground with spectacular attractions for children of approx. 9 years and older (depending on height). Children under the age of 11 are only allowed access under supervision of an adult (ID required).

For our youngest guests, there is a fun entertainment team. During the holidays we offer an extensive programme of activities, such as baking biscuits, children’s disco or an exciting treasure hunt for the little ones. Who knows, you may meet Preston or Alice the Bear… Every week, we have a varied programme tailored to the number of guests. On arrival, ask about the programme and opening times.

You can order gift vouchers from the Reservations department on telephone number +31 (0)546 542121 or send an email to reserveringen@prestonpalace.nl. Email your full details (including email address and telephone number) and state the required gift voucher value in Euro.

Someone in our group has something to celebrate. Do you have a nice idea to do something extra?

Do you want to arrange a special treat for someone during your stay or is it time to treat yourself? Below are various options.

Decorating service. We’ll decorate the hotel room of the birthday boy or girl, happy couple, or anyone else who has something to celebrate! This decorating service consists of a paper chain above the bed, balloons with streamers on the bed and a personalised card (A3). The costs for this are €15.00 per room and you can add it to your online booking or request it with your telephone booking. At the click of a button, we hang the bunting.

Wellness. Unwind and relax at Riviera Wellness. You can receive various types of massages and treatments for a fee. Check out the possibilities and rates here.

À la carte dining. The food at hotel-restaurant Ribbleton, San Remo, Midtown, Black Rock and the Snack Counter is included during your stay. Would you like even more variety and enjoy an à la carte dinner? Then we have the following option: Silverado Bistro! You can enjoy a 4-course menu for a €17.50 surcharge per person. This includes drinks.

Romantic Package. Surprise your sweetheart! Book a romantic surprise with a personal message in your hotel room. The romantic package comprises a rose on the bed, delicious chocolates, a personalised romantic card (A3) and champagne for 2! The costs are €29.95 per romantic package/per room.

A Champagne Breakfast. For €15.00 per person (minimum of 2 persons) we provide a generous champagne breakfast in your room. A lovely breakfast with nice bread rolls, sandwich toppings, eggs, coffee, tea, orange juice and, of course, a bottle of champagne. You can choose the time you would like to have this breakfast. Wouldn’t it be lovely to wake up to such a feast?

A bottle of champagne or wine. Super festive! On request we can place a bottle of champagne (75cl. €95.00 or 37.5cl. €55.00), French sparkling wine (75cl. €9.00) or wine (75cl. €13.00) with glasses in the room.

Ordering a cake. For €2.50 per person (and a minimum number of 6 people) you can order a cake with a decorative message. You can enjoy this with your group in the coffee corner or in the restaurant.

Order flowers or have flowers delivered. You can order flowers via your own Fleurop shop in the area or via www.fleurop.nl/DirectBestellen. You have these delivered by quoting the reservation number and we will place the flowers in the room indicated by you.

Extending your package or arriving early: Your hotel stay ends at 11 am on the day of departure and you will no longer be able to use the facilities. Would you like to? We offer the option to extend your hotel package deal after 11 am at a reasonable price.

An extension until 2 pm costs €22.50 per person, including lunch.
An extension until 7 pm costs €50,- per person, including lunch und dinner. 
Please note: When you extend your package, your hotel room will no longer be available after 11 am. You can store your luggage in an unsecured area.

By paying an additional charge of €22.50 per person, you may use the facilities from 12 noon on the day of arrival. For that price we treat you to a lovely lunch. The hotel room is available from 3 pm.

Do the restaurants cater to people with allergies, special diets or religious requirements?

The food at the hotel-restaurant and entertainment centre has been carefully put together. We know our ingredients and the preparation of the dishes very well, but we cannot 100% guarantee whether or not these contain allergens.

Please indicate your dietary requirements (such as a gluten-free, yeast-free, lactose-free, halal or vegetarian lifestyle) to the Reservations Department prior to your stay by calling +31546542121 or reserveringen@prestonpalace.nl when making your booking.

At the time of your stay, please also report to the cook on duty. Our cooks will immediately start working on your special request and prepare a tasty meal for you.

Is there any public transport from Almelo station to Preston Palace?

From Almelo central station you take the bus to Preston Palace. Take bus route 51 towards Hengelo. Get off at the Violierstraat/Bornsestraat stop. From there it is about a five minute walk to Preston Palace. Or you could take a (train) taxi available at the front of the station building.

Is there a taxi service?

Yes, we offer a taxi service for our visitors in collaboration with TaxiKo. Taxis can be booked here.

Are there sufficient parking facilities and is this free?

Preston Palace has sufficient free parking facilities on its own site.
Parking is absolutely free! It is included in the all-in rates. Parking is at your own risk.

Do I have free use of (wireless) internet?

Yes! You have free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access at the following locations at Preston Palace:

- Hotel rooms;
- Hotel lobby;
- Black Rock;
- Preston Hall;
- De Deel;
- Billiard room and meeting rooms.

Marktplaats sometimes offers package deals, do these originate from Preston Palace?

No, Preston Palace does not offer any package deals or vouchers via Marktplaats or similar websites. We have been made aware that occasionally people have been sold fictitious package deals. Unfortunately, Preston Palace is not able to do anything about this. This is why we would always advise you to book direct with Preston Palace, so you are not taking any risks.

Does Preston Palace have A-brands in its all-inclusive offer?

Absolutely, quality comes first at Preston Palace. We only work with A-brands to bring you the very best quality!

Is Preston Palace wheelchair-friendly?

Preston Palace is wheelchair friendly and we provide you with as much information as possible about our hotel and entertainment centre in the answer below. If you would like to view the situation personally after reading this, you are welcome to make an appointment for a tour. Please contact the Reservations department on +31 (0) 546 542121.

Almost the entire building is threshold-free and there are three lifts to reach the various floors with hotel rooms. There are disabled toilets in both the entertainment centre and the subtropical swimming paradise.

Preston Palace has eight disabled hotel rooms (Classic type). These hotel rooms have wide doors (95 cm) to give easy access to wheelchairs. The shower is spacious without barriers or shower tray. The toilet is fitted with support bars. A support rail is fitted along the shower wall and there is a shower seat. The sink is lower so that you can reach it from your wheelchair and you can tilt the mirror. Lights are switched on and off automatically. Beds are 60 cm high. On request, we can provide a toilet raiser and bars in the bathroom. You will have to make your own arrangements if you need any other aids or care. While booking, please indicate that you wish to use a hotel room for disabled people. This hotel room for disabled people can only be reserved via telephone number +31 (0)546 542121.

The new hotel-restaurant has wide aisles between the tables and at the buffet. It is easy to move through the entire restaurant. There is also a disabled toilet. If you need a table close to the buffet due to your physical disability, you can reserve a table in hotel-restaurant Ribbleton via the hotel reception.

The Black Rock and Preston Hall are threshold-free. The entertainment centre has tiled pathways, with a small step to the seating areas and game facilities, such as the snooker and pool tables. These facilities are easy to access. There is a small step to reach the miniature golf area, and the miniature golf courses have limited space for disabled guests. The bowling alley is situated in an old mine shaft, and you need to climb three steps to reach it. Once you get to the bowling lanes, you can sit down in your wheelchair again and you can use the bowling lanes from your wheelchair. A special bracket is also available on site to make bowling even easier.

At the Boardwalk indoor fairground, the bumper cars are located on the first floor. This attraction can only be reached by stairs. The other attractions, such as the Octopus and Energy Storm, are on the ground floor, but there is a small step up to the entrance.

The Riviera subtropical swimming paradise can be accessed via the wide entrance of the swimming pool reception. Here, there is a disable toilet with wheelchair accessible changing facility, too. The pool has wide, easy-access steps with a railing. The whirlpools, sauna and steam bath have a step to enter.

Can I recharge my electric car at Preston Palace?

Preston Palace has six charging points for electric cars: Floading!. From now on you can not only charge yourself during a wonderful all-inclusive stay, but also refuel your electric car!

Costs
The use of Floading's charging stations costs 45 cents per kilowatt.

How does it work? 
You can register at the charging station with your own charging card. It is that easy!

Charging time
The charging time depends on the type of car, but with a completely empty battery you should consider 4 to 5 hours charging time.

There may be promotions circulating via social media, SMS message, WhatsApp or email that are supposedly from Preston Palace in which people ask for your personal details. Many of these are fake and are intended for SPAM and phishing purposes or to tie you into certain services. These bogus promotions usually offer a Preston Palace voucher or an all-inclusive weekend break or ask you to participate in an online or SMS game. These have NOT been sent by Preston Palace.
